+1.
In my experience the Metabo product line degraded severely over the last 10 years.
I still have one of their first real Pro-drills, the 1010 program ( they've stopped manufacturing it long time ago, I bought it more then 25 years ago ) and it's close to indestructable.
A very good tool, innovative electronics and mechanics, decently engineered and manufactured from quality materials.
I Still have one of their first generation RO sanders and that too, performs admirably, be it not on par with the quality of the drill.
Their biggest router with the micrometer dial is a decent tool as well - at least it was.
I own one of their later universal hammers, and I'm not overly impressed - it's OK, but only just. Cheap tool, BTW.
Their "former Electra-Beckum" line is very dissappointing, for EB was OK for the price, and I hoped quality would go up with the Metabo brand on it - no way, it degraded.
Small Metabo handtools I've used recently don't bear any resemblance to the former quality of the brand. And I'm being polite here...
As an exception there's their 125mm grinders, still 'good tools. Like from a different factory......

Job
