Just found out yesterday that I was picked for the family gift this year.  [big grin]  My wife's family picks one name and everyone puts money toward an extra present for that person.  I need to let her know what to get me.  I have $300 to spend.  I think I am going to ask for the FS3000 rail.  I find myself breaking down plywood frequently and joining and taking apart two FS1400 rails can be a pain sometimes.  I have a home workshop and do woodworking for a hobby and side projects so storage and space is not an issue.

I currently own a TS55, RO90, RO150, ETS150/3, DTS400, DF500 and CXS.  Looking for any other ideas people have for what might be a better choice instead.  Doesn't have to be limited to Festool if you have a suggestion of some other tool that you think is useful to have.  Looking forward to everyones suggestions.

Not knowing you setup, the only other thing I can think of that would be of great benefit would be an MFT/3.  You would need to kick in a few bucks from your pocket to cover the spread, but...

Boom Arm?

... or ... you can never have enough clamps ...

I second the MFT - particularly good with TS55

Years supply of Granat

3 plane laser level

...

I could fill a book with suggestions ...

I may have missed it but I don't see a CT dust extractor on your list of items owned - Maybe a CT mini?

Appreciate everyone's comments so far.

Yes I also have a CT22 forgot to list that one.  I don't need a MFT right now because I just made some workbenches for the shop with the MFT hole configuration.  I was considering the boom arm but the problem with that is I have a table for cutting sheet goods that I use in the garage and then I do everything else in the workshop which is not in the garage.  I figured it would be a pain moving the vac around but if it is easy to remove the boom arm or move around with it on then that would definitely be of interest to me.

I would get the 3000mm rail before the boom arm. Boom arms can be made for shop use. As you have found joining short rails to make long ones isn't fun.

However if you have some cash that you can add then the Domino is missing  [tongue]

Another thing to think about would be a Dust Deputy. My setup has saved is price several times over.

A router would be a nice addition if you do not have one in the mix...but cannot fault you for a longer rail.  The Parallel Guides might also be an option to consider if you do not have them already.

MavDog,

I may be too late on this but how about a set of the parallel guides to use with your TS55?  I have them and I love them.  They would be an aid in breaking down your sheet stock.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions.  I appreciate all the feedback.  I have decided to go with the 3000 rail.  I think this will get a lot of use and will make breaking down plywood easier than joining and un-joining the rails like I have to do.  It will go great with my  Homemade Parallel Guides that I have been using.

Good choice. You will not regret having the 3000 rail when cutting sheet goods. It is also nice when you need to rip a board that is 8'+ rough length.
