Need help swapping a tool

I bought a festool ro125 along with ct36 and txs drill this past week from CPO Outlet. I decided I wanted to switch the drill for a cxs and  RO125 for the RO150 the tools are unused. Cpo outlet wants me to ship the whole vacuums back to them along with the other stuff since it is a package.  Is this normal? It seems ridicules and expensive to just turn around and send the same vacuum back to me. I still want the ct36. Can these be swapped with a local dealer?

Because you purchased it from CPO, you'll need to swap it out through them.

I'm not sure why CPO would require you to send the CT back. Even though it was part of a package, this shouldn't be necessary. However, as the retailer, CPO may have their own policies and procedures in regard to exchanges.

For what it's worth, we would not require that you return the vac under those circumstances.

yea I should have ordered from you again Shane. There was a $50 dollar discount if ordered from ebay with paypal for CPO. Looks like I'm gonna lose that $50 anyways

I am in a similar boat - bought a CXS and wanting to swap for the CXS Set.

If we can help with this sort of thing, we will. However, retailers have their own policies when it comes to how they process returns and exchanges. As a manufacturer, Festool only has so much control. I'm glad that this one got resolved.
