I recently bought a RTS400 and really like it.I mainly bought it for breaking off sharp edges on raw wood with 150 grit.I also planned on using it to sand sealer coats between top coats, both clear and pigmented. We have been using the Granat 400grit to sand our 2 sealer coats of 2K poly,my worker has been struggling with burning through the sealer coats. He only uses it on flat surfaces, and hand sands edges and contours. He has been sanding for me for quite a while with other sanders,so I don't think it is user error.I am just wondering if we should be using a different pad (we are currently using the one that came with it),or maybe a different paper.I really like the sander, and I'm confident we can get it worked out,I just need a little guidance.

Sounds to me like he may be applying too much pressure to the sander.  Use light pressure and let the tool/abrasives do the work.  Also be sure to turn down the suction on the dust extractor to minimum setting so that vacuum doesn't pull the abrasive into the sealer.

Slow the sander speed down, decrease extraction. I use mine in the same application with Brilliant 2-320 grit.
