I have a job mortising hinges in alot of doors.  I have been using a older bosch router and template guide.  I want to use my 1400 but just can't find the matching guide bushing.   The Bosch template is RA113.  Not sure of the Festool matching parts.  Any help would be great.

Thanks
Bill

Bill, the Festool routers come with an insert for regular PC style bushings, assuming you have or can get the right size bushing you're all set.

If you have a RA1113 template, that is 5/8" OD.  Very standard size available from Porter Cable, DeWalt, Rockler and others in the two-piece template and threaded ring.  They fit in the Festool supplied adaptor as previously stated by Brice.

The Bosch bushings are proprietary and do not fit other routers. Your OF1400 should have come included with the universal guide bushing adapter. If it was an early release model, it may not have, but you could contact Festool to check if they will send you one. This decision to include them as default in the U.S. happened fairly early in the production cycle of the router.

what size you after? i needed a 16mm and they dont do 1 so i got a http://www.festoolusa.com/products/routers/template-guides-imperial/guide-bushing-adaptor-493566.html and some trend guide bushes to fit it. I think it is far better as the guide bush is machined

Dean, just in case someone else decided to look up that part for their router, I wanted to point out that your link is for the OF2200 adapter, not the OF1400. I am not sure if it fits other Festool routers, but it does not fit the U.S. model OF1400.

Edit: I'm sorry. It looks like the part number may be correct, but the picture is wrong. I don't know part numbers well enough, but I noticed the picture was for the OF2200. The picture I show above should be what it looks like.

yeah they have got the same picture for all 3 for some reason, i maybe should have said.

Thank for all the quick responses. I don't know how I overlooked that I already had the bushing adapter. I just sat on the couch with laptop and credit card in hand to order the adapter when I read Brice's post that it was included with the router.  Thanks for the help.
