I got three free sys-toolbox 2 at Festool connect this year and i would like to make inserts or use them for a dedicated purpose. I currently use 1 of them in my trailer to throw misc. things in but i have no idea what to do with the other two. I got the shorter sys-toolbox last year at connect and made inserts for my hand tools and it has worked out great, i used a sys3 attached under it for bigger things but recently bought the tackle box style to use under it which i like better.

If anyone has pictures or ideas on any modifications i can make i would appreciate the help because they are just sitting there not being used.

Here are some pictures of the insert i made last year, the pictures are a year old but it has held up well.

Thanks for the videos, i found the one problem with the open boxes is that i tend to toss stuff back in and it ends up a mess. The insert i made took a couple of shots to get it the way i like it so i will probably have do the same with the bigger ones.

If any one has more ideas please chime in.

I use a Sys toolbox for car detailing and washing - paper towels, wax, windex, squeegee, Tar remover, microfiber cloths, etc.

I keep it on top of a Sys Midi and the cleaning kit, which I use for vacuuming the cars when not in the middle of a project.

Works great.

I like that idea, but...

Pictures or it didn't happen!

Well i found a use for the big toolboxes, i bought 11 used classic systainers and a few at the 50% off sale so i could redo my trailer and put non-Festools in them, i used one tool box for drywall tools and one for painting tools and they sit on top of the other stacks which so far has worked out well.

love these threads! im always interested on how others stay organized using systainers [laughing]

I keep an empty one on top of my CT 36 and use it to hold the sanders, domino, or whatever tools I'm using at the time when I need to set them down.  They also can hold the extra sandpaper, dominos, hand tools or whatever.  If I put them in that, I'm not looking all over the shop to find them while I'm working.
