New 4.0ah High Power Battery storage issue

Just a quick note for those considering the new 4.0ah HP Battery, I just excitedly received my first one today and discovered it was not compatible with my T18+3 systainer insert.  It looks very similar to the format of the previously offered 3.1ah battery but indeed it is not the same side footprint and thus it is too bulky to fit comfortably in the existing battery slot.  This is true regardless of whether it is mounted on the tool or in the secondary battery compartment.  Not the end of the world, but kind of a drag.

They’re also heavy! Way closer to the 5.2ah batteries than the old 3.1ah.
Not as nice to use in the drills as the old compact batteries I’d say. Here’s hoping the 3.1s stick around.

Yes, they are heavier than the 3.1  I am also pretty sure the 3.1s are gone. So if you want them be on the look out for new old stock. Or start contacting dealers, etc.

The weight of the 4.0 , 5.2, and even the 3.1 (coupled with the 3.1 not running every tool) is why I am still running C12s with 1.5 aH batteries instead of going to 18v for everything.
