New bag for your tracks long enough to fit a 3000mm (118")

I would be keen on  this. I have 5 rails incl the 3000, but don't often bring the 3000 to a site. Could you show how the bag reduces in size? Also, I would also like to see some pockets for the standard rail accessories. I am always concerned about the working edges and corners of the rails, so it would be nice to see some sort of extra protection to address these issues. Not sure if would make sense to have sleeves that each set of rails could slip into, sort of like an accordion-style file folder? Just to protect the rails from each other. Also, no one has discussed price point. I would pay about $400 for a quality solution, but it would depend on the the final offering. I appreciate that its early in the process.

As others have sad ,corner and edge protection has to be archived
and sliding inside have to be prevented
Plus for the durable material also it looks stiff enough with the added foam
Really look forward for progress and hope it happens

I think that the long bag is a great idea, my only input that it would better if a piece of polycarbonate for a stiffner was incorporated to add stiffness and edge protection.  I stock and sell plastics and know that 10' polycarbonate is readily available.  3/16" or 1/4" would be perfect.  Actually ABS would be the best solution cost wise but 10' is not a standard available size.

i agree with this 100%.  the bag is a great idea, but useless to me without some sort of stiffener.  I have to carry my long rail in the 8' bed of my truck, which means it has to be on top of the tail gate, which necessitates a stiffener so the rail wont bend and warp over time.

I currently use the box the rail came in, but would be extremely interested in a bag with a stiffener for end/warp protection

I would be interested, but not for a bag that big.  If it were for a 75" rail with the aforementioned accordion style sleeves to protect multiple rails, accessory pockets, and corner/edge reinforcement.

I personally am not interested in a soft bag.  I would like to see individual hard cases that can snap or click together like a t-lock.  i've had too many issues with people carrying/loading my tracks in the festool bag to think we need more of the same problem.  From dinged and blunted corners to the splinter guards being dislodged from their place, i'm over soft bags.  maybe some sort of hybrid would work to save weight but i'm skeptical.  It would be really nice to have many cases of different sizes that could be snapped together based on your daily needs. like systainers...

Hello guys, this is Martin again. As you've seen the new video FastCap released 2 bags for the tracks. One is long enough to fit a 75" track and one long enough to fit 118" track for the price of $75USD and $100USD. BUT, I have to disclaim that I'm a FastCap user and am 'SPONSORED' by FastCap because I have a Spanish YouTube channel. So when I talked to Paul about my issues transporting rails he solved my issues by making a special bag for me.  When I got the bag I asked him if he was ok if I made a video about it because I'm sure I'm not the only one with that problem. I just want to disclose this so I don't get in trouble with Festool for posting this on this website. I'm a festool and FastCap lover. Thank you and have a great night.

Hi Martin,

This looks good, thank you for taking the the initiative on this! I am just north of Fastcap, in BC, so will get one of the guys to pick up a couple bags next time they go across to the US. Again, good job on following this through.

This is Festool Owners Group - for people with woodworking tools.  So you could buy some BB plywood and spend a few hours making your own to YOUR exact requirements. This cost £25 to build. Contents are extremely well protected and organised. Everyone I work for notices it immediately and they all think it's fabulous. It's good to give a good impression to your customers...

Was there any modifications made from the first bags to protect the ends of the tracks? The bag looks great and i am sure it will come in handy for us.
Thanks
Brian

No. FastCap decided to leave it as the prototype. If this products becomes popular I'm sure they will re design like they do with their products. That's what I think
