No Love for the Mini/MIdi?

Not until Festool decides to update the boards for the two of them.  [sad]

Thanks,  [member=44099]Cheese[/member]
I guess it 's the same kind of issue that  [member=191]Rick Christopherson[/member]  faced with the MaxSys module he designed.  Sure would be nice to outfit my two Midis with remotes, though.

Mike A.

Shane, what are the prices for the new ETS-EC sanders with the multi-Jetstream pad? The announcement mentioned the ability to pre-order that version, but I didn't see the option on your site.  Thanks!

Oh yea, pre-ordered the remote set this morning as soon as the email came in! Cant wait and so happy its cheaper and nicer than that MaxSYS third party option!

Will the bluetooth remote work on a CT 22?

Although I am not Shane nor Tyler, when I saw the bluetooth stuff back in the fall I asked directly about CT-22 usage because that is what I have.  I was told by the Festool employee showing off the products that he had two CT-22's and had asked the question just like I was.  The answer was unfortunately NO.

I guess the debate over cutting fiber cement products and them voiding warranty has been settled.....

Tom

Looks like stuff is getting to our side of the pond a little quicker...

Is anyone else surprised that Bluetooth remote/module isn't $195?

I guess if you use the Festool blade...

Peter

Send it in without a blade in it.....(just don't list "wont cut" as the problem on the repair form [big grin])

The removal of the ribbing that catches on just about everything is a plus, but the lack of a built-in power cord is a painful oversight. This is a lateral move from the sleeved hose that I don’t see helping anyone other than cordless tool users.

[member=48572]Shane Holland[/member]  Is the only difference with the 2018 ETS 150/3/5 sanders the new Jetstream pad?  You can use up your old abrasives with the new pads, right?

Thanks, Mike A.

[member=30413]mike_aa[/member], good questions!

Yes, the only change is the new Multi-Jetstream 2 pads. Basically.... even MORE holes.  [big grin]

The abrasives and pads are both forward and backward compatible. Use the new pad with old abrasives. Use the old abrasives with the new pad.

Exciting to see that we do not need to wait a year for the new stuff. Looking forward to real-world feedback on the hoses and Bluetooth.

Seems like the abrasives are really geared to drywall.

Just a hunch, but I think it's because this stuff doesn't have a plug. So, no UL certifications, etc.

Definitely great to see this stuff showing up here soon after the Euro-intro though. [thumbs up]

Dang it, I just ordered an ETS EC 150/3 from toolnut! I wish I would of known about the new sanding pads. I would have waited.

The new Grants Net mesh paper. Is that mostly for drywall?  Throughout the entire video they only show sanders being used on drywall. It would make the most sense but figure looks I would ask.

The mixer. Is it designed to mix concrete?  I’ve torn up way to many Milwaukee cordless drills on being stupid and mixing concrete with them.

So will the Bluetooth batteries always be a la carte? For example, will the HKC or other cordless tools be offered with them ? or will you have to buy the bare tool , and charger/batteries separate?

[member=10579]BJM9818[/member], GRANAT NET is made for applications that produce a high volume of dust according to Festool's marketing. I think that's because of the benefits of the open mesh being porous. There are similar mesh abrasives out there that folks use for plenty of sanding tasks outside of drywall. I don't see why this would be any different.

[member=57769]TylerC[/member], can you comment on this? I believe it should be capable of mixing concrete up to the prescribed maximum capacity of 15.85 gallons.

[member=27522]Luzzy[/member], I doubt Festool will offer them included with the tools in the near future. But I could be wrong. Eventually, I think it's possible but I believe it's a year or more away.
