I just wanted to share some pictures of my latest project... a Boom Arm Buggy with Dual Exhaust...

The new cart, and an older project, a tool cart

Dual Exhaust

I have enough room under the boom, but I had to make it lower than usual because of the I-Beam

Innovative!  Great execution too.  My only complaint is your shop/ tools are too clean.  [poke]

Nice, I will take one. :)

Do you ever make anything in there I see no saw dust or mess whatsoever.

Nice cart!  A few questions;

  • What 90 fitting did you use at the vac?  Is it anti-static too?
  • Why not turn vac around to have controls up front?
  • Why separate tubes for hose and cord?

I spent all morning cleaning the shop up before posting the pics.

I thought it was a portable nuclear reactor with the top open showing the fuel rods, [scared]

The 90 degree fitting is a Festool Product... Festool link   (Shane assured me that the fitting would work fine with a just small percentage of reduction in suction for the CT22)

I had the vac facing the back, because if it was facing the front, the hose would be protruding in the front.

I used separate tubes to make it easier to exchange hoses or cords.

Awesome!

FYI, in the first image, the 3rd screw driver from the left appears to be tilted slightly.  ;)

Agaagagagagagaaa!    [eek]      [eek]

Holy smokes!! This thing is off the charts.  Awesomely impressive.

The "Abrasive Storage Table" is like some cosmic smorgasbord of Festool sandpapers.

Oh my... thank you for the heads up.... I will go and straighten that screwdriver right now.....  [eek]  [smile]

Superb! I am sure someone at Festool's product development department will be in touch shortly!

Jim,

This has got to be one of the most creative and useful shop projects ever posted here.  Never mind Festool, NASA will probably be in touch soon.  They could use this on the space station.  I assume you have provided for zero gravity conditions.

You have put a lot of time & effort into that, very well done.  Like the festool logo with the green strips running through the top  [big grin]

Woodguy.

I am just overwhelmed by all the nice things being said about my project.... thank you all so much.... you all have really made my day week.

My first thought was, "this guy has way too much time on his hands"  [eek]

Seriously, if this is the kind of effort you put into your workshop, then I would love to see what you make in there.
Really good job, nice work
