Hello Shane,

When are you going to print new catalog? My local dealers don't have 2009 catalog anymore.

Thanks,
VictorL

Victor, I would advise your dealer to request additional copies of the current catalog. If you message me with the name of your dealer, I will see that we contact them. Thanks.

With the amount of catalogs I have got in the mail from you guys, I think it has made up for at least one tool purchase [cool].

In addition to the new catalog, do we have a price increase "to look forward to?"  Seems this is the time of year, might be a bit early, when that info starts to come out.  Just trying to plan for a couple of purchases prior to any increase.  I believe McFeelys gave us a comprehensive list last time of all the new increased prices compared to current prices, it would be nice if someone would provide this info, either from corp or a dealer.  Even better, no price increase would be great.  [wink]

I suspect we will see the Vac-Sys in the U.S. in the second half of 2010.  [smile]

I don't have any information to share regarding 2010 pricing at the moment.  As soon as I do, I will let everyone know.

I have four catalogs on my table... Every time I order anything Festool from Acetool they include another catalog!
Makes for good bedside reading.. and with breakfast.. and at night... doh, now I see their strategy!

I think that was meant to be a joke whereas it was anticipated that the vac sys would be available in the second half of 2010.  Recently Shane posted a list of tools and their anticipated release dates.  For the life of me I can't find it now.

I seem to remember that the vac sys was listed as probably not coming to NA due to UL issues.

I am sure that Shane will join in to confirm or deny.

I've just noticed we're in the 3rd half of 2010 now  [tongue] Still no news on that vac sys?

Benn, Peter's response is accurate. There were UL issues, so no update on when or if we'll see it here.

Can you give us details on the UL issues?

It can't be that it's a new concept, as something similar is already being sold here:

Guitar Vacuum Clamp

Damn Damn Damn!

I guess ill have to fork out the $2300 for one while i'm in New Zealand
holidaying. That really blows, cos i know it would only be about $1400 back in Canada
When/If it gets realeased

Question!

Will the Vac Sys; made to work on NZ power supply (240) work in canada (110)?

No, not directly. It would probably work fine on a 220V supply if you have one available (depends on the exact specs of the base unit. Don't have one so can't check that).

Option 2 would be to use a 110-240V inverter.

Option 3 would be to buy a 240V one, stop by Festool USA's training facility, and swap the systainers whilst no-one's looking.... [blink]
