New cordless tools fall 2025

still have to lift it up and down tons of times....I like to use the 4mm for drawer boxes and if you need to make 20 drawers, that is 80 pieces of wood and 320 holes, even if you get 4 pieces of wood together at once, that is a ton of holding and lifting and setting down.....it adds up
I weighed my batteries a couple weeks ago and from memory I think the 5Ah came in around 225gm or so, so I actually think despite the very minimal extra weight, the D handle leads to a vastly improved work flow with less effort as it's so much more ergonomic, especially with the DF500 where you have to very awkwardly grip the end of the motor housing while keeping it held firm enough to not move under load.

The DF700 is far heavier and larger than the DF500, but is a joy to manage as the handle provides an amazing level of control and balance, I find it a massive improvement over the DF500, and I fully expect the new cordless will be just as good to operate.

It would be so cool to get the power station in the US. Then, every vac could become cordless without limitation. And while I’m dreaming, the TKS 80

My 3.1 Ah come in at around 400g (about 14 oz) and my 5.2Ah at around 700g (about 25oz), so where did you find those 225g 5Ah and can I buy some please 😲🤑

Ok it definitely seems I'm remembering this wrong! Maybe I was thinking of the difference between two I have. Ill have to check this again!

500G is over a pound difference

Even using the 3.1A at 400g and the extra handle and stuff - I bet it weights a full pound heavier - even more with the bigger battery

For repetitive tasks, I'll take the lighter tool every time
