New CT26-which hose to opt for

question on which hose I should get. I currently have a midi, so I have a 27mm hose, and I got a nonAS 36mm hose that I cut in half and use for my table saw and Kapex. My question is:

If I get the CT26 should I opt for the 36 hose upgrade? I am questioning it because I hear it doesnt' fit into the hose garage. Long term plan is to get either the workcenter or boom arm. I just thought having another 27mm hose would be kind of silly and should opt for the 36mm no matter what. But until I get that WC or BA accessories I will either have to lay in on the ground or rig a makeshift boom to the ceiling.

I personally would buy a 36mm Anti-static and hang it on the wall when not in use.  That way you can easily swap between tools with the 27mm and use the 36mm when appropriate.  The Boom Arm will allow you to rig up both hoses at once if you desire or you could also make a hose whip with a shorter piece of 27mm that plugs into the 36mm hose for when you need it -- I believe that several dealers here have those kits and will sell them to you and I believe Paul-Marcel has something on his Blog about it...that is probably what I am ultimately going to do as having two hoses on the Boom Arm can be cumbersome at times.  Personally I like having an extra hose as a replacement or in case I need it so adding another 36mm was not a huge deal.

Yeah that sort of make sense in my head too. Same goes for the workcenter, you can just hang the hose on it. In the meantime the wall or ceiling made boom Arm might be fine.

Before you contemplate too much you might want to check with your dealer to see if they will make a substitution for a 36mm hose.

Yes that part I have in order. It's a nice option to have so you don't have and pay for parts you don't need.

You will want to consider which tools you will be using the CT26 with. If it will be the full spectrum , then the D27  will be needed. Or at least you will need to be willing to swap the hose or have a D36 to 27 adapter.

Good point..Thats the thing though, I envision it being solely used around the MFT, but I have learned that until it is in use in my shop I can't know for sure. So I suppose the use will range from TS55r to sanding, to Router, to Domino if I get one.

I like the idea of that adapter thingy someone mentioned.
