Hi people

Has anyone heard through the grapevine or better still have any firm facts when a new drill to replace the somewhat dated 'T Series' drill (T 12+3/ T 15+3/ T 18+3) is due. This refers to the release of any potential drills in England as that's where I live.

Thanks

Dont Think there is anything in the pipeline to replace either the T or C series, well not for a good many years.

Mandria1,

The new C12 and C15 are listed on the festool.co.uk site.  They appear to be available now.

Depends what you are looking for in a drill ?  I have the new C15 & it is everything i want in a drill.  As said already, i don't think the T series drills are out dated.  Probably still miles ahead of the competition.  The newer C series has lights & belt clips fitted as standard.  There is supposed to be a T18 coming soon though !

Cheers, Woodguy.

did i say i am getting a plane ticket so i can take yours because you don't play nice. [big grin]

What is new about the "new" C12 and C15?  Li batteries? some other feature?

Apart from the Li batteries with the beltclip attached and the ledlight, they also have the drill/screwdriver switch from the T12/T15 drills, which leaves the torque-setting where it was when switching to drill mode.

Just a note: the C12 only comes with 1.3Ah batteries, where the T12 has 2.6 batteries. (The C15 also has 2.6 Ah batteries)

I recently got the new C12 because I already have a protool 18v for the heavy stuff, and the protool drywall screwgun, which uses the 10.8V 2.6Ah batteries, which can also be used by the C12. (The 10.8 batteries can also be used with the 18V protool drill, but they make it turn slower; the 18V batteries won't fit the 10.8V machines)
Sofar the runtime of the 1.3Ah batteries hasn't dissapointed me, which is nice, because the protool batteries don't have the integrated belt-clip (on the protool machines, the beltclip is integrated in the machine itself)
The new C's also come with a Rohm-type chuck (which is a bit heavier than the protool version)
