Any word if the hk/85 will be introduced to US?

[member=32709]bub254[/member], nope. I don't think it will make it's way to the US because of potential liability of that dado blade.

Ha, I think I always have given my honest opinion, [member=13058]Kev[/member].  [big grin] [tongue]

My honest opinion is that Festool rocks. A lot of green in these veins.

You guys are going to love the DWC 18-4500!!!!!!!!  [drooling] [drooling] [thumbs up] [thumbs up] [thumbs up]

Kind regards,
Oliver

Yeah, I noticed that there was no HKC + FSK option as well. Maybe Festool will consider adding that option with some feedback. I think it would be a good option as well.

I'm interest in the  Basic HKC + FSK option as well. Disappointed its not offered.  Hopefully Festool will consider adding this option.

Question for current Syslite Duo users:

I currently use my Syslites when sanding to find those minor defects you normally don't find until you apply the dark stain.  For longer boards and table tops, I'll use two lights to cut down on having to constantly move the light.  Have any of you used the Duo for this purpose and can you provide any feedback?

Thanks and Best Regards,
Gerald

Coming from a slightly different perspective (car polishing and detailing), I find multiple sources of light more helpful in finding small flaws in the finish.  Often times the direction of the light is critical in finding something I need to remove.

I think something that Festool's SysLites does very well is diffusion of the light. Many other similar lights have hotspots because they are focused. Also, the cool temperature of the SysLites are great to make sure you're seeing "true" color rather than the color of a wall or surface being tinted by a yellow-ish tone from the light source.

Remember that the SysLites are covered by Festool's 30-day money back guarantee, so you can buy it and try it risk free for yourself.

That's a bummer.  I thought Europe's safety standards were more stringent than the US.  For me the hk85 would be an auto buy where as the 55 is a maybe sometime down the road.

[member=28373]Chris Perren[/member], I've sent some feedback to Festool about the lack of this option. Same with the TSC 55, no saw+rail only option.

We have about a month until these saws ship. Let's see what happens.

Feel free to send your own feedback to Festool through their website.

In a way. But they are also different.
European safety standards meant to prevent injuries, while American - lawsuits.

None of the HKC packages explicitly say they include a dust bag--does that mean they don't?

[member=41196]Nat X[/member], we have a list of what's included with each of the models on the product page. These do not include a dust bag. Even though dust extraction in a major benefit of Festool, I think these are seen more as rough construction tools where dust containment matters less.

We do sell the optional dust bag if you want one. This is compatible with the HKC.

Good question. Thanks.

Well that's a little annoying since it has a dust port and will never trigger an extractor. I shall add one to my order then. Thanks!

What are the shortest screws the screw gun offers?

I need a screw gun that can use 1/2" screws.

Hmm, I doubt you can find a 1/2" collated drywall screw. I think the shortest you might find is 1-1/4".

Well right now my Senco does 1", still looking for something shorter.
