Hi does anyone know if there is a new kapex scheduled to come out any time soon, I'm wanting to buy another one but willing to wait if a newer version is coming out ???

From what has been discussed on hear recently it doesn't seem very likely I'm afraid.

Now if they were to bring out a cordless Kapex, similar to how the cordless TS55 works with the duel batteries that IMO, would be worth the wait.

Who needs a Kapex when you can own THIS for only 139.99!!! (On sale)

According to HF, this is INCREDIBLY ACCURATE AND POWERFUL!  WOW!  Maybe I'll buy three! [tongue] [wink]

Actually, I might buy one just for cutting reclaimed and pallet wood!

Cheers,

Frank

yeah,  don't leave home without your coupon.  so much coverage lately on numerous threads on the vaunted HF brand.

I have a terrible confession to make [embarassed].

I ordered one for exactly the reasons I mentioned as jest in my last post.  I will use it to cut pallet wood and reclaimed wood for projects that utilize those woods. I always check for nails and staples, but those woods types are questionable at best for other reasons and I would be hesitant to put them through my Kapex.

Disposable Miter Saw for $140.00!  Excellent! [big grin]

Cheers,

Frank

I kept an old mitre saw from over 15 years ago for the very same reason.
At first I just didn't get round to selling it then it came in really handy, especially if you have just put a new blade on your Sunday best.

Its not a Festool! Surely you didn't Frank!?

Actually a very good idea, I use an old circular saw for a similar purpose.

Didn't see any mention of free steak knives!

Funny, that presentation doesn't do anything for HF trying to improve their tool quality rep.  Of coarse if someone needs a beater saw to protect their Kapex on questionable job sites or with questionable materials then this saw might do the trick.

i usually just keep a spare old blade for each tool that I cut crap wood with.  takes less room than keeping duplicate tools.  those "chicago electric" motors do make rather good door stops though, when one wants to let a bit of breeze into the shop, so there is that...

And please don't carry the personal and snippy remarks form the other thread over into this one.

Apparently you missed the offer of 24 FREE "HEAVY DUTY" AA or AAA Batteries with any purchase over $4.99!  WOW...what a deal!  [tongue]

It's the only reason I purchased the saw!  Gotta have those AMAZING batteries!! [big grin]

Cheers,

Frank

The Kapex Version 1.2 is amazing.  I don't know how you guys will handle the wait.

Heh heh.... NOW you've started it!! [scared]

I predict at least four threads will be created from that! [big grin]

On a serious note I wish the fuel cell would finally come to market.  I wonder what's standing in the way?

The voice over on the harbor freight saw is freaking fantastic.  I'm waiting for the monster truck rally tie-in promo at the end.
