I am so excited I recently took the plunge and bought a few of these great tools. I recently got the TS55, MFT3, OF1400, and CT26. I have only been using for two weeks but love every minute I have had. Sorry if this seems like a brag but no one else has understood how awesome these are. Next in my sights a Domino  [eek : [big grin] even if it takes awhile.

I just happened to log in just now, so let me be the first to welcome you to the FOG!
By the way, no need to apologize--gloating has had a long and glorious tradition on tool forums (to paraphrase from The Princess Bride).  It's only when you brag about the same tools over and over and over again, do people (like me, for instance) start making funny comments about 'the sickness', but it's all in good fun anyway.

I do understand how you have no one around to share in your feelings.  Whenever I show someone these tools, it's always "how much was it" and never "what can it do"

Enjoy your new goodies, dude!

And thirdly, here's the official banner...

The Domino is a game changer...even my wife knows what a Domino is!

You mean dinner in 30 minutes or it's free?  I agree that certainly revolutionized the pizza industry.  I could never build a complex enough obstacle course in the driveway to outfox the delivery guy.

Note to the OP:  You'll find that once in a great while (but never on a Friday), these threads will actually stay on topic...

Welcome to the FOG! Excellent choices to start off with. I went with the same choices right out of the gate minus the MFT. The Domino soon followed and it really is a dream to use.

That is one great initial purchase!  The domino sounds like the next logical choice- depending on what kind of woodworking you do will determine which domino is best.  Or maybe a sander should be next, or CXS, or CMS, or ......  well, you probably get the idea.

Welcome to the FOG and enjoy the tools!

Regards,
Gerald

Welcome Earl - you got a great set of tools and I'm sure they will continue to delight and amaze you with how well they work and how much cleaner your work environment can be.

Please share some photos of your work as you progress -

No unfortunately I do the cooking...or is that fortunately?
Dinner in 30 minutes...it's obvious you're not the chef in your house, heck it takes me 30 minutes to just find the herbs I need.

Edit: Interesting... the gods that be, changed my original statement to heck?...I've never used that word in the last 66 years of my life...why now?

[welcome]

No bragging detected, all I hear is enthusiasm [wink]

Earl welcome to FOG. You will find a lot of great info concerning the use of your new Festools. Also welcome to the slippery slope of Festool. Unlike other companies Festool has accessories to accompany your new tools. Those accessories will allow you and your tools to do more, work faster, more safely, in a much cleaner environment. The systematic integration of Festool is engineering genius. By the way their sanders are unbelievable. Bet you can't own just one. Enjoy your current and future Festools.
