I think the funny thing is a guy using a $350 jig saw to cut a piece of PVC that he took the time to clamp....

Sorry that this thread is getting a little off topic.

There has not been an announcement about the introduction of the updated MINI/MIDI in the US/Canada. Nor can I speculate about when the MINI/MIDI might be reintroduced for sale in Canada. At this time, I don't have any information to share in that regard.

As I posted before, any customer who resides in Canada who owns a Festool CT MINI, CT MIDI or RAS 115 sander should call us regarding these tools. A toll-free product return number (toll-free) 1-855-485-2620 (8am-5pm EST),  is available for customer inquiries and return requests.  Please do not return units to your Festool dealer.

I have to say, I'm a little pissed about founding out about the new Midi.  The timing is sucks.  I didn't want to give up my Midi, but was worried about possible future warranty issues.  Yet, if the New Midi was offered in Canada, I would have preferred the New Midi than the CT 26.  The CT 26 is a great machine, but since I have a CT 36, the midi worked great when working on-site in a clean area.  Hell, I would have liked a smaller version of a Midi.  Yeah, this sucks.  Maybe I can sell the CT 26 and purchase the New Midi.  OK, that may work.  So, when is the New Midi heading to Canada!?!?!?!

There is also a new Long Life filter bag coming out the CTL midi. This will be available with the product launches happening at the beginning of September.

Had an email through from Axminster yesterday with some Festool deals in, apparently they're clearing space - maybe for some of this new kit?  Funny thing is, most of their sale prices are still more expensive than other places!  I got excited when I saw the C15 and Ti15 on the list of clearance items, until I realised that I could still get those items cheaper elsewhere.

Still, they might have some good prices on consumables or the smaller Festool bits and bobs, so worth a look if you're after something.
 
For the last couple of months we've heard rumours and seen pictures of the new hammer drill
But now the Festool uk site has been updated said drill is nowhere to be found
I want to buy one straight away.......... Is there a problem with the drill hence it's absence from the new line up
 
So from the new line up I need the following
;D. Festool Cordless hammer drill, BHC 18 Li 4,2 Plus GB 564506
;D. The midi long life bag 499704
;D. SYS tool box SYS-TB-2

So who wants my money........... Oh and ill even do reviews  [unsure]
 
I saw the new SDS drill advertised earlier this week, with an availability date of 2nd Sept. just checked again after seeing your post, and they're now showing available October. Sorry, looks like it's been put back slightly.

Sadly the BHC 18 SDS has now been delayed and launch will not be until Spring 2014.

All Festool websites of European countries are updated these days with the latest NEW models.

Strangely only the Belgium web-site has everything working.
Look at Festool Belgium

Even the German web-site is "Under Construction" and still has a few problems with the layout.
 
Well im peed of.. [sad] I bought the T18+3 on the 15th of this month. I now see it comes with the newer 4.2 Ah batteries for the same price. I have contacted Festool Uk as this is the last day of the trial period to see if i can send it back  [big grin]

John,if you can send it back you might consider the new 18v drc model, I have the protool version and am very happy with it,having the high speed is great,the right angle chuck is a different type of fitting but is very good,it most likely would be included if there is a 'set' version, Adrian

Cheers Adrian,  I have a Hilti cordless which has a lot higher speed than the T-18, so its just the small size and weight of the Festool i like. I wouldn't pay the extra £100ish when i can just get the Hilti out  [big grin]

Well i got in touch with Festool Uk and i can return the drill  [big grin], i just wanted the batteries upgraded but they want the full lot back..... Now as Skinee says i might as well get one of the newer drills, But im baffled with the prices. The PDC is more expensive than the DRC if you just buy the basic kit, but if you buy the set  the PDC is a fair bit cheaper ???? I don't really want the combi drill but it works out £45 cheaper for the set..

Ordered a sys-mft today along with a cxs set from powertool supplies. No one has any stock of the new stuff but I've pre-ordered the sys-mft.

john I would think twice about the pdc,when I was considering which of the protool models to get(pdc or drc) I was advised that the pdc made  a very annoying whining noise when drilling, also that  the hammer action on the pdc meant that there was  play in the chuck and that the pdc is also a little longer and not as balanced,this advice was given by someone who has had experience with both drills, probably the number of times you would use the hammer mode would be small anyway,i could definitely recommend the drc,its the best(18v) drill that I have had,adrian

Thanks  Adrian, i don't want the hammer drill version, i have a cordless sds so it would never be used. Its just the price difference. I will go for the DRC version  [big grin]
