New Festool USA catalog - Feedback requested

Charles,

Let me be the first to COMPLIMENT you on your eagle eyes and grammatical insight.  You are correct in stating that the catalog should read "Complement" not "Compliment".  To clarify for others:

Complement - 1 a: something that fills up, completes, or makes perfect b: the quantity, number, or assortment required to make a thing complete [TH]; especially : the whole force or personnel of a ship c: one of two mutually completing parts : counterpart

Compliment - 1 a: an expression of esteem, respect, affection, or admiration; especially : an admiring remark b: formal and respectful recognition : honor

Thank you for the feedback...in the age of spell checkers, it is easy to miss something like this when reviewing 200 pages of catalog copy, prices, and order numbers.  :-[  We will make the correction in the pdf that is posted on our website.

Best regards,
Martin Johnson

I still have not received my new catalog ???. Should I request again or are they still being shipped out?

Thanks, Bill

Bill,

We checked our records, and it looks like it was processed last week.  It should be in transit to you as we speak.  If it doesn't arrive by the end of the week, let us know and  we will send another one.

While I'm on a roll - something that strikes me as odd is the Guide Rail connectors. You always need 2, but Festool packages and sells them as ones. Same goes for the MFT/3 table connectors. Basically - any time you have to put "2 are needed" in the catalog because you're selling them singly - something's wrong. If you go shoe shopping, there's no note that says "2 are needed".

Hi,

The old style guide rails only use one connector. It seems that you would always need two for the MFTs , but I can also see the possibilty of one connector getting lost, and someone needing to buy just one.

MFS 400 multi-routing template states that the maximum circle is 34" . Overstates the case. Max diameter is less, unless I'm missing something.

Nickao,

The longer rails will not be offered as a standard catalog item, since we hardly sold any in the past.
They can be special ordered though, waiting time 8-10 week.

Christian
Christian, what is the part number? and is it for the MFT/3? How much?
Thanks, Steve

I was just about to type this when I found I was beaten to it

Steve,

Sorry, I didn't see this thread sooner.  Here is a link to the Festool eKat, an online electronic catalog of spare parts.  You should be able to find the profiles here.
