I was at my local Orange big box store and came across this new tool from the garden Festool section. It supposedly won't overheat or burn out prematurely.  The supplemental manual says it's great for supporting tomato plants.

[member=11196]Peter Parfitt[/member] did you notice you can hear a faint wine when you're cutting grapes with the CARVEX ?

Hi Kev

Very good  [laughing]

I did find that it was difficult to control the Carvex towards the end of the day and realise that it is not a good idea to mix wine with power tools.

Did you check to see if the stem was cut at a true 90d?

Hope all is well these days Peter!

Hi Bryan

All is well but very busy thank you.

I have worked for years designing a new tool to allow the grapes to be pruned in the Autumn leaving every cut at a perfect 90 degrees but then I was told that they should be at about 20 degrees.

So I have a plan, I will keep my right angle gadget prototype but only use it when I have had a couple of glasses of wine - I reckon 10 degrees per glass will do it.

Cheers.

Peter
