New Kapex 120 - extremely hard to rotate the base

Hi,

I just received a new Kapex 120. I found the base was extremely hard to rotate. There was so much friction on it and I worried about damaging the tool if I force to rotate. Do I miss anything here? I did not see the manual mention anything I should remove before I can rotate the base.

Does anyone see the same problem?

Thanks.

Sorry guys. Nevermind. After read another post, I realized I need to release the lock and it worked now! I somehow thought the lock was similar as DeWalt but the movement was slightly different.

Haha, the Kapex takes some getting used to.  I also have the trusted Dewalt DWS780 that I’m used to and with the different handle and “laser” system it took sometime to get the hang of it.  Just takes some getting used to...

Yes, the Kapex have a double locking mechanism. The handle must be pulled up and the lever down. in order to change the angle. It take a little time to compute that but when you get it, it's all simple and logic  [wink]
