Ok, Just got in the new Kapex.  Opened it up (watching to find the little wrench that is supposedly in the syrofoam) and never did find it.  oh well.  I did do a test cut to check the laser alignment out.  Looks like Im gonna have to adjust the right side.  The left side is dead on.  How do most of you guys use your Laser.  Do you split the line with it or set it inside or outside???  Im thinking I want to split the line with it.
Is the adjustment wrench a plain old 2.5 allen wrench.  Sure hate to pop those holes in the decal, but whatelse can you do.
Does anyone else here cut there crown laying flat, using compound miters.  I do it that way, cause its the way I learned and I cope it.  I would sure like to learn more about the collins coping foot for a jigsaw and the technique for cutting then coping that way.  If I knew I could improve that way I would want to sell my Festool D handle Jigsaw and get the Pendulum Jig saw.
Anyways, thanks in advance and Im gonna go play some more.

Congrats on the new Kapex.  Regarding the allen wrench, if you haven't already, also check the bare cardboard box.  That thing likes to run and hide.  I admit that I don't remember the size.  I mainly work outside so the lasers are not used often, but mine are set to be on either side of the kerf.

Since the lasers go up and down with the power head, I can't see the logic in having them anywhere except parallel to the blade. The inside edge of the laser(s), in my opinion, should be at the outside edge of the kerf.

Regarding the Collins coping foot, I love it. I also normally cut my crown on the flat and then cope it. Check out the video on the Collins website and READ THE DIRECTIONS!

Also check out his spring clamps (best I've come across) and rabbit planes (too cute not to buy).

I've looked everywhere, cannot find the allen wrench.  No big deal, I can just use another one.  Thanks for all the info though.  I am gonna try and make a zero clearance insert for it and an auxillary fence.
Nice tool.

Peter Funny thing been looking thru the Styrofoam and nothing, taking your advise opened box, check inside and low and behold a small Allen wrench was located.
THANKS
Sal
