I’m on my second Makita. I have a One Way multigauge that I like to use with set up. With the dial indicator against blade I engage the slide to do a quick check of the rail alignment. Both saws were out 25 thousands. That was curious so I took off the blade and installed a Masterplate on the arbor and got the same results. The first saw went for repair and at Hartville Hardware, after two months the problem wasn’t solved so they gave me another saw. There is nothing in the manual to help troubleshoot this issue. With blade trued to the fence and saw retracted the cut was decent but when the head was extended it overlapped a 12” board with a square cut by a strong 1/32”. Had the same issue with the rails. That’s when I ordered the Kapex. I then did a web search and found a video on how to fix a curved cut issue with the Makita . I tweaked the rails and was able to get a clean reading on the multigauge. Every cut had a wave like curve that finally gave up on after lots of fussing about. The table was also dished so the stock would run into the other side of the table as it slide across.
I am baffled but open to any suggestions. I am a big Makita fan and really love the features of this saw. Just to much daylight in the joints for me. I lament that my 20 year old Hitachi has given out. Never had to dick around so much with a saw!
