My name is Luca, living north of Milan, in the traditional district of the woodworkers. Doing another job for money but trying every night to pay a visit to the shed to make something.
Not exactly, it's a long story: the area north east from Milan is called Brianza, and historically (from 1200 AD) known for his artisan's shops. This situaton was later increased by the wealthy people that choose Brianza as a good retreat to build summer mansions (from 1500 AD), so the need of furniture increased suddenly. Both the tradition of the summer mansion and the need of furniture continued until the beginning of the 1900, and the woodworkers were grouped in four-five villages around, that's why I called district. A bunch of villages could not have the same effect [big grin]. Sadly, the woodworker here is a vanishing figure now.
