Just saw this video and it seems to be quite a benchtop bandsaw with an impressive list of features: cast wheels, 1hp motor, cast table, outfeed rollers, onboard light. It seems significantly nicer than my old 9” Delta!

Well this is the first time I've thought a bandsaw was supercute!
Looks really handy though, and good quality. This would fill a need in most woodworkers sheds I'd reckon.
Based on the US price, it looks like it'll be around the $1200-$1500AUD range for us if it's released in Oz.

People have been buying used Inca 10.5" bandsaws for decades because there wasn't anything in this size with that quality. Even now, a used Inca probably can be gotten for about half the price of this new one, although this one might have some advantages due to use of cast iron. I think the resaw on the Inca might be slightly higher, too.

Looking at Carbatec's Laguna BS prices I reckon it will be more than that.

That was going to be my suggestion. Eagle Tools in LA has a ton of INCA and their 3-wheel bandsaws have a nice throat for the compact size. For awhile, I was tempted to get one for marquetry. -sigh- shop space

Regarding the 3-wheel Inca, I wonder if the riser block is the issue??? I've had zero problems with mine, but I don't have the riser block.

Yeah, I thought about that. I bought the bandsaw used from Eagle Machinery. They're usually really good at setting up the equipment.
At this point I'm going to say that it was my own fault 20 years ago for expecting the bandsaw to be as non-finicky as a tablesaw. No cheap laser levels available back then.
I'm going to back up a little and admit I've never tried to put a narrow blade on my 710. I've got a 5/8" blade on it for resawing and ripping. I have one of the little 10.25" Incas with a 1/4" blade for curved cutting.
I just had my v10 delivered over the weekedn and had my first a few cuts with it. Except some minor damages during shipping which are most fixed or are not crucial to its functionality, I'm more than thrilled with the saw. Here is my detailed review:
This v10 is my 3rd 10" bandsaw. I've owned the Craftsman 21400 (Rikon 10-305) and Rikon 10-3061 in the past. Essentially the Laguna v10 is a Rikon 10-3061 on steroid and fixes almost all my gripes towards the Rikon 10-3061. Since the Rikon is a proven 10" bandsaw and was regarded as the best on the market until the emergence of v10, the latter is unquestionable the very best 10" on the market now.
Pros:
Powerful 1 hp motor and 5.75" cut height !!
Super quiet thanks to: cast iron wheels and much refined upper and lower blade guides with the micro-ajustability
Better rip fence and throat plate (made of aluminum with holes for dust collection)
Much improved under-the-table dust collection
Build-in light
Power switch
Optional add-ons
Installing/un-installing blade does not require one to take off the fence rail which is a pain with the Rikon 10-3061 or Craftsman
Cons:
Under the table dust collection could be made even better with a small change
Tilting trunion is weak and flimsy (same with Rikon)
I'd been looking for a 10" BS with more horsepower for a long time. I was pleasantly surprised by the emergence of the Laguna v10 and pre-ordered one as soon as it became available. I would buy it again without any hesitation just for the 1 hp motor and the micro-ajustment of the blade guides.

@BWSD, do you have your new saw mounted on the Laguna stand? I’ve purchased the saw, but am waiting for the long-delayed stand. What approximate working height have you been using these small saws? Thanks

I wish I had seen this earlier as I stopped by the dealer today and could have checked for sure. That being said, most of the bandsaw tables are set around 38".
@onocoffee, thanks for the info. Yes, I’m shooting for around 38” but want to put it on a low rolling base so that factors in. The Laguna stand seems a bit scarce right now so I was looking at alternatives. It also appears to have adjustable legs so I think I’ll wait til it’s available and know that it fits the bandsaw base.
I mounted my v10 on a 25" tall mobilebase/cabinet and the table height is about 39". I'm 5'10" so the table height is perfect for my needs.

Have you thought about making a base for it? It's rather simple and you can have built-in storage. I made one for my old Delta 9".

I may do that once I get my shop functional again. I’ve been selling off most of my large equipment and scaling down; thus the Laguna 10”. Old guy here. Time to reduce the shop burden for my wife & estate, sort of next chapter and still wanting to be creative.
