Bump ICYMI.  These are not going to last long based on the past 24 hours. [wink]

Festool has no shame releasing items like these. Nothing but a money grab.

??? They are not forcing anybody to purchase it. And it's not life's essentials with no alternative.

Actually I think a small version might go over well, fully insulated with room for a couple of sandwiches, a couple of pieces of fruit, a couple of COLD Idaho Spud candy bars along with 2-3 beverages and a position for a re-freezable ice pack. It'd be small enough so you could wheel it in with your stack of tools in the morning and have a snack whenever you wanted without going out to the truck.  [cool]

ARGHHHHHHH!!

The dreded NAIUK [wink]

seriously though, that is tempting.  even tho the makita one costs about 1/2 the price.........

100% agreed.  this thing is for taking to the beach to feed a family, not to work every day.  would absolutely buy a smaller one

I have the last cooltainer that came out in black. Works well. I get around a lot so I keep it in the vehicle if I think I might end up somewhere with a Deli or other market type place. Comes in very handy.
This one seems large for lunch but should be good for shopping trips.

I agree, something smaller would be a winner. Is all that's required to fit a shorter Systainer to cut the side insulation down to the required height? Could buy this monster and swap the lid out to a shorter box, then move the insulation over from the sides and bottom. Is the insulation glued in or just a press fit.

I've got two of the red, white, and blue, which really did seem like a U.S. July 4 trip to the beach version.  I've never used them as coolers - I bought them because at the time they were an inexpensive way to get two systainers.
