Hello Fellow Festoolians,

Firstly, thanks for this great forum!  I have been aware of the FOG for awhile and recently have been browsing a lot more so thought I should do the right thing and declare myself...

Woodworking has been one of my lifelong hobbies, though that category would also include DIY renovations and home improvements.  Also, like so many others, besides making woodchips and sawdust, out of necessity, the shop was multipurpose for other items such as bicycles and garden tools or anything else a growing family might need to repair, reuse or re-purpose.  I'm happy to report that the children are successfully launched and my not so secret plans for a dedicated Woodworking Studio are now unstoppable BWAHAHAHA!

Seriously though, I still have a day job and the home maintenance stuff is ongoing so the Woodworking Studio project is moving ahead as well as can be expected, but back to my post, those grey and green boxes are multiplying at a surprising rate.  I got the DF700 and CT26 a couple of years ago for a handrail project (see home improvements) then a RO90 for a shop project then sanded the rail spindles when refinishing our deck (yup), and thanks to the diabolical "festool a friend" caper I recently added a TS 55 REQ with rails and the OF1400 with LR32 Drill Set as I have some serious cabinetmaking plans.  Hence my time here on the FOG.  Hope I can make a contribution or at the very least be a polite member, Eh?  Sincerely,  Nako.

Welcome to the FOG and we look forward to your future posts and questions!

Peter

[welcome]

I like your term "Woodworking Studio" .. I think I'll try that out on my wife.
