I did the work in my father in law's shed who at the time had Triton equipment predominately which I wasn't impressed in. I had been told that Festool was the best and we went to a Festool shop and now he has the CS55 trimming saw bench set and sold the Triton.

Welcome to the forum. We've got a good, international group here so you should fit in nicely! However...
Please be aware of North American sensitivities. No, it's not language or culture. It's NAINA (Not Available In North America). As the underprivileged, we get those lovely Festools (and other cool tools) much later than you do. So, please be gentle. It's considered impolite to wave a nice Kapex or CMS under out NAINA noses more than once per thread! ;D
Have fun and look around. I think you'll find the quality of Festool tips, tricks and general information in FOG to be first rate.

Dan no worries, No offence intended there! After reading through this forum I'm fixed on owning a mft - as nice as the cs,cms and kapex are, they are merely options.
It took me quite some time to get the ides of the mft, but once I did, the cs was off my shopping list in one neat blast. While the cs 70 certainly has a lot of power, it costs as much as a decent stationary saw. The cs50 is a bit too tiny....for the Kapex I don't know, I never thought about it as a wanna have, as it offers nothing I need for furniture making.
The CMS I do look upon as an upgrade of the tools you own together with a mft - nothing more. The Saw adjustments just s..k! Good thing is the router setup, alright, but hey, there's incra, woodpeck.... Don't let yourself be impressed with them NAINAs!
After all, you've got the awesome FOG, right?
