I noticed on the Woodcraft website that they offer two different MFT/3's (different catalog numbers for each). The "new" one is described as being lighter, etc.  Can you provide me a little more detail about the differences between the two?  I bought an MFT/3 about a month ago and am concerned about compatibility between the new and old versions. Thank you.

I believe it is just a part number change.
The lighter weight in the description is in comparison to the old MFT 1080 tables.

There is no new MFT/3.
It's been around since 2009/2010 and unchanged apart from new versions for the Kapex and Conturo.
On the Woodcraft website they compare it to the old MFT 1080 which was smaller, had another height and had different support beams.
And which has been discontinued for years now. At least in Europe.
The MFT 1080 and MFT/3 are not compatible with each other due to the different height and support beams.

Woodcraft does list the MFT/3s with 2 different part numbers.

They changed the MDF top to a lighter product. Probably the feather light MDF. I can't recall where I read it, but I saw it somewhere...

Cheers. Bryan.

Thanks for everyone's responses. That clears up my concern and I can move ahead with my purchase.

There have been no changes with the MFT/3.  The part number change was put in place because there is not difference with the MFT/3  between the US and Germany.  They can now have the same part number in both countries.
