Hey

I have been trying  a little while to find out a few things, and it has been a little hard to formulate the search string such that it gives the result i am looking for. so, i now ask the collective genius of the fog:

Festool routers, more precise the of1010 size routers.
First, when did the of1010 replace the of1000, and when did the of900 "die"? (any other models in-between?)
and now to the grand canole, beside the obvious difference with the old/new systainer, is there actually any (important) differences in the of1010 released say 4 years ago (or older) to the ones being shipped in the t-locs?
I know the domino has the pins on the older model.

Thanks guys!

Falch,

New OF1010 were in stock at my Festool dealer in a Sys2 when I bought my first one in January 2006. Subsequently I bought several more OF1010 new from that same dealer, all in Sys2. The most recent was in March 2010. Except by reference to the serial numbers I cannot find any changes to the OF1010 over the years.

It is possible that in early 2006 some USA Festool dealers still had of1000. I am not sure I every have seen one.

My first Domino was handed to me the day that was allowed. Mine had been on pre-order many months. Of course my first Domino has pins. By the time I needed a second Domino the version with the paddles had been released. Possibly I could have searched for a new pin-version but my dealer had the paddle-version, so I accepted it. For me they work equally well.

Not sure when OF-900 was replaced by OF-1000, but OF-1010 presented in 2000 Festool's World Wide Catalog.  There are no models between OF-900 and OF-1000. The difference is motor only. OF-1010 got the same motor, but slightly updated body and Plug-In cord. All dimensions and accessories are the same and interchangeable between OF-900/OF-1000/OF-1010.
Why do you want to know?

Thanks guys! Well, i wanted to know because i am going to buy a used 1010, that has seen little to no use, but has some years. I was comapring it to a new one, and wanted to have all the features from the one on the festool site, but could not find any info if there was any diferences. The of 900-1000 info is just a funfact to know :)
