I am gonna buy another CT.

Question is should i purchase a new CT 36 for $607 with the 10% discount for bundling it with a sander or should i buy a lightly used CT33 for $300 but its a 1.25hr drive away and like $60 in gas...

Anything i should know about the 33 if thats the route i go?

The 33 is a nice vac. I've been using one for quite a few years. One thing to check is whether or not it has a HEPA filter. If not you may want to get a new filter so factor that into the cost. HEPA is white , regular is yellow.

Cool,

Its hepa i asked.

Ill ask for a picture of the filter before i make the drive.

Thanks for the info...

Still on the fence though. A new 36 and the ETs125 or a used CT33 and a 150/3 in a classic for a $300 savings.

Hmmm i just cant decide!

I would go the used route if it really is HEPA.  For $300 in savings, to me it would be a no brainer.

Its a two hour each way drive.

4hrs round trip so like a 5hr treck.

I don't know why i thought it was 1.25hrs i just googled it..

Still it is $300, thats a nice piece of really nice wood to make something ;)

Or another few small tools like woodpeckers crAp..

More gas too?

It may have a HEPA filter, but the 33 is not full HEPA tested as the CT 36 would be. The 33 should not be used for RRP work.

Thank you..

I was a painting contractor in the 90's.

My lead huffing days all long behind me. I still do finish work but I'm all done with the type of work you encounter lead?

I bought a used beat up looking CT22 about 2 years ago. Its still running strong. Im very happy with it

I mostly buy new, I figure the 3 year warranty is worth something, as well as my time travelling to pick the tool up, and what if it has an issue, it's hard to say no when you've already spent the time to go and see it.

Nope, new, garanti, works as promised or I can return it within the grace period..

A five hour round trip, no warranty and unknown history to save $300 seems false economy to me.
