Introducing the Betterley Guide Gripp, the fast, easy to use, and most versatile guide rail clamping system available.

The Guide Gripp utilizes a cordless electric vacuum pump to secure rails in place from the top side of the material. Access to the bottom of material is not required making it the ideal clamp for difficult situations like working on the floor. Easily attach to vertical surfaces. Simply turn on and the rail is secured in seconds, no fumbling with clamps and reaching under material.

Works with the TS55, TS75 and routers.

This item is brilliant for the application...I just preordered one for my Grabo. Those poor lonely Gecko's will just sit on the shelf.

I recently helped my neighbor move a quartz countertop into his house. We used a pair of Grabo's and it was easy peasy. After that experience I purchased one for myself to lift and level NY Bluestone patio stones for the outdoor patio.

Just pre-ordered the Grabo Pro and Guide Gripp. Gecko on steroids is right. Plus, it's useful for many more things is what I thought of when I looked more into the Grabo. It's like having a handheld VAC SYS.

Nicely done!  Very anxious to see what everyone thinks.  I’m never an early adopter, but these look great

When I first saw these I thought they were great.  It might explain why Festool discontinued its vacuum system.  This one does the job, is smaller, and costs less.  [big grin]  My guess is we will be seeing more custom jigs for this.  It also can fit in a systainer.  I first saw this tool on Izzy Swan's website.

This is very handy for LR-32 work. I use vac clamping on the guide rail with the vac sys but same concept.

This will be just the ticket for field work when you're away from a stationary vacuum pump. I can see lots of uses for the Grabo coming. :-)

They are two different animals, as in bringing the tool to the work and the opposite. I don't know why Festool discontinued the vac sys but this new gripp product targets at a different segment of users. For example, domino joiner users still need a vac type of workholding if they want to use vacuum to hold their work.

I suppose I will be the sole Debbie Downer on this product.  I am a hobbyist and don't have any problems paying for tools and accessories that have value to me, such as my VAC SYS with the SE1 and SE2 heads.  However, for the €1,000 estimated cost for a pair of Graber Pro vacuum handles and the Betterley guide grips, I'll continue to be satisfied with "fumbling with clamps and reaching under material."

I'm sure others might benefit from this system, especially if they can offset the expense to the customer, but it's not for me.

MikeGE, I think you have a good point. If someone was purchasing this only for guide rail clamping, it may be bordering on too much. Considering the Grabo can be used alone, and if someone has other uses for it, then the pairing with the Guide Gripp makes more sense.

Don't look at the product as a one-trick pony but as a holding device, then you can find lots of uses of it, although the gadget is not something I'd buy. For example, it can hold the Domino Joiner in position securely on a surface horizontally or vertically for precision mortising. Off my head, I may look into it as a stop on the bench, or as a board jack or as one of its components. Or as a stop block on the miter saw station.

I’ve been purchasing tools for my cabinet shop from Tom at Betterleys for years now. He hooked me up with a set of Gripps while he was designing them. I’ve had them for about two months now and they are fantastic. I find myself reaching for them almost everyday I’m in the shop working. They really are pretty awesome.

The Mafell Aerofix "F-AF 1" does it all for me! And clearly does not have any problems associated with flex/clamps cobo. It has changed my work flow. That with STM 1800 does it all :).
