New RACK of MINI systainers

Why wouldn’t they add internal tabs for dividers on the 147? This has always seemed like a huge missed opportunity for the bigger systainers. You have to either buy their flimsy, overpriced dividers with only one possible layout, or make something out of plywood.

Imagine if Packouts didn’t come with any dividers or slots for dividers at least..

Just snipped from Amazon.de
Language was set to Dutch, apparently the Festool stuff doesn't get translated.

EDIT: The snip does contain only Dutch, but the text above it was German.

The T-Loc mini does 'sort of fit', but even a light tap on either side 'ejects' the T-Loc mini, whilst the new Sys3 S 76 mini locks in tightly. If you look at the feet on the new Sys3 S 76, they're undercut like the rear feet on the full size T-Loc and Systainer3 M's. I'll try to undercut my T-Loc mini feet to see if I can replicate the Sys3 S 76 feet to see if that keeps the T-Loc Mini retained...as soon as I get 5 minutes. Problem is, at £30/pair of the new Sys3 S 76 mini's...well, time is money too. Luckily I need to try it for my Benchdogs T-Loc mini, so I'll get back with an update if it's successful.
To be clear, the Sys rack cannot be moved without the T-Loc mini's being dislodged (no longer locked in), whilst the Sys3 S 76 versions are locked in tight.

Absolutely.. checking pricing on Tanos branded new SYS3-SORT 2 and 3 - They are asking the same as Packout/Toughbuilt 3 drawer units.. of Packout wasn’t expensive enough.
I like the Systainer format, but Tanos on their own are on another planet in pricing - good luck!
At least, the Toughbuilt/Packouts are with real drawer slides besides a few more positives - for me they’re just too bulky (and too expensive)

Thanks for the update, that was useful info!
I’ve ordered the Rack, and 3x SYS3 S76 TRA.. as I imagined my 3 old T-Lock S76 Mini would fit fine - now they don’t ..  [mad]

Spent two minutes with my Vecturo cutting wedges out of the T-Loc mini feet and they now fit as firmly as the Sys3 S 76 mini now. A few more minutes using a multi-tool instead would’ve improved the end result…but I was more interested in a secure fit than looks.

Easy, fast and means I don’t have to eff around with my Benchdogs T-Loc mini insert to transplant it into a Sys3 S 76…also as a Scotsman, saved £15 too.

Interesting find!

Looking into it, I found:

Festool Systainer³ SYS3 S 76 - 577808 (comes with dividers) - MSRP 26.10 EUR

Festool Systainer³ SYS3 S 76 TRA - 577817 (clear lid, comes with dividers) - MSRP 31.61 EUR

Festool Systainer³ SYS3 S 76 TRA UNI - 577819 (clear lid, comes with universal inlay) - MSRP 53.18 EUR

Festool Systainer³ SYS3 S 147 - 577818 (larger variant) - MSRP 34.43 EUR

So yes, new "Mini Systainers" - compatible with the older ones.

Oh, and the rack will also work with the older T-Loc Minis.

Kind regards,
Oliver

Actually the T-Loc mini sustainers only ‘sort of fit’ because they don’t have the undercut feet required to securely fit into the mini-rack. Any sort of movement or light blow dislodges the T-Loc mini while at the Sys3 S 76 minis stay firmly in place.

2 minutes with a Vecturo on its lowest speed, cutting wedges out of my T-Loc mini feet and they now fit perfectly and securely in the rack. They don’t look nice - even at lowest speed the Osc. melts as well as cuts, but I was more interested in securing my T-Loc mini than it looking good. I suspect a few more minutes with a multi-tool and fine file would improve the looks for anyone else. Unless they’re flipped over, there’s nothing to see, so that’s good enough for me.
