New RO 90 DX - What's in the box?

I just purchased an RO 90 DX and received it in the mail a few days ago.  When I opened the box there was only a single round and a single delta abrasive.  Now my order included some paper so I wasn't stuck, but I was under the impression that a few 'examples' were included.

So I guess my question is to those in the US that have recently purchased this tool - did you only receive a round and delta abrasive or did I get an incomplete item?

Thanks,
dr

I bought mine this summer and it also had one round and one delta.

There was a broader assortment of paper when I bought my RO 90 and it first shipped, but now it only includes the two pieces from what I have seen in the store units.

Yep, just one sheet here as well, of Granat in 80 grit for each shape.

Mine came the same way.

I solved it by working with Tom Bellemare (Tool Home LLC www.tool-home.com 512-428-9140) to come up with what I think is the 'perfect' starter assortment. The guidance was mine, but the GENIUS behind the package was Tom's. Here's what he came up with:

Granat RO 90 DX Abrasives Assortment

Granat RO 90 DX (Delta)
Qty Grit    Use
2 - P40  Heavy Duty - for that odd job
3 - P60  Heavy Duty - because it's quite useful to clean up paint and drywall
10 - P80  Coarse
10 - P100  Coarse
10 - P120  Coarse
10 - P150  Intermediate
10 - P180  Intermediate
10 - P220  Fine
10 - P240  Fine
5 - P320  Fine - because it's good between coats of finish
2 - P400  Fine - in case you need it

and the same assortment in

Granat  RO 90 DX (Round)
Qty Grit    Use
2 - P40  Heavy Duty - for that odd job
3 - P60  Heavy Duty - because it's quite useful to clean up paint and drywall
10 - P80  Coarse
10 - P100  Coarse
10 - P120  Coarse
10 - P150  Intermediate
10 - P180  Intermediate
10 - P220  Fine
10 - P240  Fine
5 - P320  Fine - because it's good between coats of finish
2 - P400  Fine - in case you need it

Total Cost = $98 Nice!

But here's the best part: The whole kit-n-kaboodle fits perfectly (and barely) into the appropriate space in the RO 90 case!!

If you want, just ask for the 'wow' assortment and he'll know what you mean right away. And if you want to change, add. or subtract anything just ask - Tom is great to work with!

When they were introduced an assortment of papers were included. That is no longer true. These days it's one round and one delta sheet. As others have stated Tom Bellemere of Tool Home has great assortments of papers for very reasonable prices.

Just got my RO 90 and got the single round and the delta pieces in Granat P80

I had bought along with it 50 pcs of 40,60,80, grit granat, each there was a promotional box of 100pcs 120 gr Granat, plus I bought P240 Brilliant 2 100 pcs in Delta. I'll probably get some Brilliant 2 P 180 and 320 in delta.

My theory is the Delta soft pad is fine for sanding between finish coats..

When I got my RO90, I called Tom at Tool-Home on wow's recommendation and I ended up getting assortments for three sanders.  I'm a hobbyist and only needed small quantities.  Tom's price was right and his advice was invaluable.

It kinda nice, they send all both of them, I think it's a marketing ploy, You spend another $300.00 on paper and don't like the sander at least they make money on the paper. [big grin] I love mine, but I use it to make a living. Also, I cut my own paper out of Mirka's stuff. I also love there products, a real life saver in my book. B
