Polystyrene takes something like 900 years to decompose. That's definitely a great "Green" choice of material.

I imagine all the WoodGeek descendant's remembering you fondly for centuries! Cool! 8)

now I have seen the stackable concrete forms. Those almost look fool proof to use.
 
I used Logixblocks (sp?). They were just a hair more than some other blocks. BUT They came highly recommended by a friend whose company uses them al the time. I poured a 9'4" wall and had little to no problems. Rent the bracing scaffolding units and screw every course to the brace. Consider using the smallest gravel you can as to minimize plugging up around windows and doors. I wish now that I would have went all the way up with them instead of just my basement. I went to a 4 hour class open to the public on how to properly use the blocks.Great system. I had never used them before, and the next time I build I will absolutely use them again.
