It's been posted here before; IIRC the only problem was forgetting you've got it attached and walking off with a tool still attached to the hose...

Like driving off from the petrol station with the nozzle still in the car, eh [member=11629]GarryMartin[/member]?  [scared]

When I was a kid in a car with a few other kids we did just that . What a fire that was [scared]

Could have used this over the summer when I passed over a halogen with my flexilla hose and burnt a hole through it.

Ouch $35? Yeahow $20-$25 is more the range I thought it would be. But I'll probably end up purchasing one anyways as my two attempts to replicate it haven't left me satisfied.

Gents, thanks all for the feedback.

It's crystal clear where we need to position this item to make it worth everyone's while.  After quite a bit of finagling to ensure we make you guys happy but it's still an appropriate business venture from our perspective it looks like we CAN get this thing down to $23.99.  Big difference in price, and I'm biting my lip a lil bit over here, but it's got to be done.  Want to make you guys happy, you've taken great care of us over the years.  Bottom line, you're unhappy, we'll react for ya when and where we can.  This is one of those times.

For those of you that may have purchased already do not hesitate to reach out to info[member=18445]toolnut[/member].com to get a retroactive credit.

Sean - That is stand up, 100% awesome customer service for sure, especially the retroactive credit offer.

Hey, customer comes first and we want you guys to be happy.  If we need to take one on the chin every now and again so be it.  Big picture is what you and we are in it for.  Glad we could work it out.

Sean,

WOW! My (limited) dealings with Festool dealers has always been great. This is over the top!

Do you know if this hook will "capture" and support the weight of the Fein (blasphemy) 18V drill I got from you recently?

Saw your name and thought "mezger engine"

I'm unsure if it'll hold onto that Fein drill.  Granted we're out of them and don't have one to test but we can try it against a comparable Festool drill tomorrow and we'll get back to ya asap.  Would do so now but the shop is closed for the eve.

Great service Sean, now if you would just stock the Fein impact driver...

Well that's easy enough.  Particular model in mind?

This thread is a great example of why FestoolProducts.com and the Tool Nut have been getting all my business for the last two years - absolutely outstanding customer service!

Thanks and Keep up the great work...

Well...kudos to you Sean...when I first saw the announcement of this item at the original price, I figured i'd just move forward in a different direction.
I used to design plastic injection molds and am fully aware of the prices of the tooling, the materials, and the secondary operations involved. I pegged this item at a cost of $6-$8 to manufacture which would include all of the ancillary secondary costs.

Everyone is entitled to a reasonable level of profit so that they remain profitable & financially healthy. Considering you are importing these items from Europe and have to maintain stocking levels and absorb other hidden costs, your new pricing is very reasonable.

I'll be ordering one from you tomorrow.  [thumbs up]

@ Sean: Would you happen to know a european retailer? Kudos for reducing the price, Sean.
That was a first to me: people not being happy with the price point and dealers reducing the price of the article just like that..

Jim,

One of the guys brought in his Fein drill and we tested it for you and it works great. We also tested the Festool drills. The T handle drills all work great but I wouldn't recomend this hook for the Festool C style drills. We also tested Milwaukee, Dewalt and Makita cordless drills and impact drivers. All of these also worked well with the Slide-Kick.

Just bought one.  Mainly to support good customer service, but I'm sure I'll get good use out of it too. [big grin]

Here are some photos showing a variety of tools connected to the Slide Kick as a tool hook.
