My wife and I were having breakfast this morning and i was talking to her about getting a new drill.  She suggested i go over to my Festool dealer and get one.  Naturally, always folling the directions i receive from the other half  [wink], I promptly went and pickup a CXS. Got it home and was reading the manual and plugged in the charge and put a battery in it.  Now for the question - I have a flashing red light, the manual says a flashing red light is a fault, incomplete contact, battery pack faulty, etc.  I checked to make sure it was in solid, so no problems  -- Any suggestions?

Be sure the battery is fully inserted into the charger.  With the CXS you need to give a little extra push to make sure it's in there.

i think mine did that. i tinkered for a minute and it stopped... [huh]

by the way where can i find a wife like that??? ;D

Really. Every $500 in new tools I get approval for costs me several thousand $$ in furniture...

My better half has gotten "negotiating from a position of strength" down to a fine art form.  [not worthy]

Thanks everyone, i reinstalled the battery several times and it works now.  Yep, I'm pretty lucky, my wife supports my green habit - in fact one time i had my "birthday list" on the refrigerator with the note "any one of these" on it (including the Domino 500) so she went with me to the dealer and suggested i get all of them, and SHE PAID FOR THEM.  I believe her philosophy is that is she can see me working in the shop/garage from our family room, she knows exactly where i am at.

Brice, if you have a minute, i have a post in the home improvement regarding finishing interior windows perhaps you could give me suggestion on

Thanks
