I've been mulling it over for a while now and was waffling on if I wanted the MFT or not. Just decided to bite the bullet and order the package. So I drove over to my local Woodcraft yesterday (super friendly folks there, but a little over an hour away so I use the term local very loosely. It's worth the drive though.) and they had the TS55 in stock but they are expecting a shipment in this week with the table so they are just going to ship that to me. Hopefully I'll have it before the end of the week. I was able to take the saw with me though along with some clamps and things I got while I was there.

I was also at the NJ Woodworking show Sat morning for a few hours and got some other things I needed and put in an order for abrasives to Bob Marino.

Quick word in for the Woodworking Shows, much better then the last one I went to. Didn't feel like a yard sale. Well organized and lots of seminars to check out. Spent some quality time at a couple of finishing seminars and watching demos of a few products. Picked up a nice piece of Maple and a few other shop supplies. Very nice.

So now I have to rework my shop layout and figure out where all this stuff is going. It's been a bit since I bought any new tools. This weekend should be fun :)

All in all an enjoyable, if expensive, weekend of woodworking fun where oddly I didn't cut one piece of wood or really do much of anything in the shop ;) I'll make up for it next weekend though I am sure.

So that was my weekend. Hope all of yours were as good.

Almost forgot the best part. While I was at the counter gathering all my stuff and talking to the guys, my wife was over playing with the CXS and T15 drills. After we got back to my truck she says, " I think one of those drills should be your next purchase".
Talk about having an enabler around  [big grin]

Jim, I am sure that we are all looking forward to hearing about your impressions of both the TS-55 and the MFT/3 once you get that.  Many of us have gone the same route.

I longingly remember the days when Woodworking shows visited my area.  The market here must have deteriorated because it has been a decade plus since I've seen one.  DC is a couple of hours away but ...

[attachimg=1][attachimg=2]Well, everything I ordered arrived safe and sound. Put together the MFT this morning. The first pic is everything Festool I got this week. The second has all the other systainers with my other Festools. Just ordered a couple of mini systainers and a systainer IV to put all my sand paper and accessories in. Basement is starting to look like a Festool ad :)
