too bad this is a UK catalog.  [unsure]
Wouldn't it be nice if this was NA's catelog?

It would be costing me a bunch of money!

You cannot imagine the responsibility we Europeans have checking out all this stuff before it goes to NAINA countries  [wink]

Peter

And we are incredibly thankful for all that you do in that regard.  [cool]

All that being said, don't you think us NA's have "grown up" enough to be allowed to play with the toys when the rest of the world does?

I would think Festool strategy too release NEW products outside the USA and then wait 6 to 12 month to bring them to the States would cost them sales.

Look at all the new Festool products in Europe now, Drills, screw guns, sanders, cordless saws etc... If I was in the market for one of these products I would DELAY my purchase until the new models arrive here in the USA.

No, it won't.

You just explained yourself why it won't cost them any sales.

It was explained in the past by Festool emplyees that it's a matter of production capacity. Festool simply doesn't have enough factories to produce for the entire world when a new tool is released. Europe is still Festool's most important market so that's where they focus first. When that market reaches a certain level of saturation they proceed to America.

Tough luck, we have it with American movies and TV shows, which are shown with a long delay over here. For TV shows, often years. And that's by choice, not production capacity.

They've finally  arrived. 8)

Just picked up my new CXS today. Was in such a hurry I didn't even have time to check out the TXS!  [crying]

Anyway, CXS feels great with the new battery and chuck. Wider at the base so it stands better and still light as a feather. Last one lasted me four years so I hope to get four years out of this one too - after that I am hoping that Festool has a brushless one on offer. ;)

I'm happy owner of TXS and new CXS for cuple days - what can I say... both tools are working great for all small works.

If you need any details about them - just ask.

Maybe a side by side picture? For size comparison.

No problem... I've also old CXS. I'll do couple pics tommorow.

It's very handy tools but my primary is still PDC18 :)

Do These help?

Good comparison photos. :)
The grip is slightly different on the TXS and it has the ventilation ports (or "exhaust ports" once you smoke it ;) ) to the sides rather than on top.

I did a little TXS squeezing and generally I like it, I just like the CXS a little more; slightly smaller and bit garage are two things that set them apart. I can pack a CXS, two batteries and all chucks in a mini-SYS, though not the charger.

... and couple pics from me ;)

old CSX, CXS, TXS, T18, PDC, IWC

Nice setup Dolph!

I did a little Mini-Sys III out of two carcasses to fit the CXS in a toolie I have, it was a quick lid/bottom removal;

Phone snapshot, didn't notice it was focused on the background until I got home, but you get the geist of it:

It fits CXS, all chucks, drill set, two batteries, charger and some accessories for small assembly/drilling work.
