New type of Domino 500

Yes, I do believe that. Watch the video and you'll see Protools recolored throughout. It's not hard to change the hue of a color in an image or video. Quite easy.

If you feel otherwise, I guess we'll all have to wait and see whether this mystery Domino remake shows up. Like I said, the video was produced over a year ago. So why sit on a new product that long.

I can announce that we're coming out with a ladies collection of tools in purple on April 1st, [wink]

Took about 10 seconds to add a color correction to change the green. Ta da!

My wife just got really excited!!  Said the one thing holding HER back has been the color. So now that it is changing...  ;)

I trust when shane says an upgrade isn't coming out, he's the man to know, but latch colour aside there clearly is a difference between the domino shown and the one currently on the market. observe....

I trust Shane as well. I am guessing prototype for Protool. The height adjust looks awkward as well as the thing in general doesn't look polished.

Hmm.... given that it has fence pins, this might be a pre-production version of the original 500?

I think Tom nailed it.

I suppose it's possible. Not sure why they would do that in a video. But... I think you guys enjoy the speculation, sometimes too much.  [huh]

I've said all I know about the topic, so I'm outta here. Have fun continuing the analysis.  [big grin]

Be careful Shane, changing to Pink will not increase or promote sales.

At the Harware/TY where I work part time, we have some pink batt drills, a pink basic hand tool kit and, wait for it, some pink screw holders that hold the screw, but still using fingers, whilst screwing. None of this is selling.

Women wanting/needing to do house maintenance want 'normal' reasonably quality good value tools. Feminist women, female tradies and most men do not like or want to be seen "using that pink colored sh__!" (Quote from a female customer).

So Shane, from my limited experience with Pink tools, I would say, like many things to do with women, much is in the imagination of some male FOG members.  [smile].  [big grin]

Shane, I stand corrected.  It does look easy the way he does it.

My bad,
Rob

Reckon there's another competition in the pipeline.

Richard.
