Hi,

New to Festool :)  Just saved enough for the 1010 router, lovely bit of kit.

However, I use a Camvac for all workshop extraction (chips and dust). I have been trying to get my head around the daft oval port and how to connect it to any of the other hoses I have around.  I have seen the reducing ringhttps://www.festool.co.uk/accessory/498528---rm-d3627-as but not sure it fits the oval port.  If so, I guess I can somehow get a standard 32mm dust hose into the other end.

Rather reluctant to spend 1/3 of the router's cost on just a green hose ... any advice will be greatly appreciated.

One must squeeze the circular part of the hose until it's oblong and then cram it on the router.

Welcome to the FOG and Best of luck.

And that's for the tool end of a 27mm hose, so the reduction sleeve would work, if your current hose fits the other end, that would normally go into a 36mm hose toolend.

Thanks all for the very speedy response. Liking this green machine a lot thus far :) Now drills ...
