yup, the last job that I did for a person (empty townhouse) was very dusty! fortunately for me it was ground level. The baseboard didn't cause too much dust (raining outside, so had to set up in the suite) but then the owner added a couple of headers, and wanted them to be covered with MDF. This was to hide some wires that came out of the ceiling, and ran across the top of the wall for a few feet.

You all know what happens when you route MDF! wow, clouds of dust. I never used to worry about it back in the days when I worked the film industry, but I sure do now though. I used my leaf blower on reverse to suck up what I could, then I opened the balcony door, and blasted the rest out. Home owner came in part way through, he laughed his head off (whew)

Anyhow it took me well over an hour to clean up the dust, time that I really wanted to use driving home. Over time I've found that some clients are almost more impressed  by me leaving their home spotless than the work LOL

So that's a long way to say that with the upcoming trim job that I will start in a week- the deposit? yup. I think a Ct26, as it will go nicely with my TS55, and I think it has enough goof to work wiith my milwaukee scms. Now and then I would also need it to attach to a router.

I gotta get a trailer :D my poor old suv explorer is almost full!

I do wish that Festool was more like Sears: twice a year their stuff is on 1/2 price. Oh well :)

Yup, the guy I worked for 3 yrs ago we had to sand an old stairway and put in new railings ect. but that was before I had Festool [sad] and it was a major PITA with dust everywhere, and it took forever with crappy sanders.
I only wish I would have had an 125/150 with a vacuum for that job.

Well I called my local Festool dealer yesterday, but unfortunately he's sold out of the CT26. More coming next week, so its not really a problem.
What I'm thinking about now is how to hook up the CT26 to my Milwaukee 12" scms. This saw has a plastic (removable) rectangular outlet, that is in the shape of an elbow with a cloth bag attached.  (bag comes off easily as doe's this elbow)

anyway now I need to figure out how to go from a rectangle to a circle!! some sort of boot? something like what I've seen in a range hood. I ain't using that! LOL  but some sort of plastic thingy in that general shape. The idea is so that I can take the vacuum hose off quickly when needed for other tools, and re-attach again without too much drama.

I know, the real fix is a Kapex, but the budget will only allow one or two cadillac's (festools) a year.

help!!!

Take  a look at the Lee Valley tools catalog starting on p205.  All kinda weird adapters and hose.
