Watched the video for both Woodpeckers and Festool. Festool had a balance add on for the router to prevent tilting is there one for the woodpecker version? The Woodpecker video only really shows it being used with the rails close together to prevent tilt.

No...I contacted Woodpeckers and they said the "stabilizer" was not in the cards. If you'll be using a Festool router though, you could just modify the Festool item.

Laser engraving in a commercial environment has its limits in the bed size of the equipment - thus the dimensions of the workpiece have a practical size limit.

Just attach a laser to Shaper Origin and hire a guy to push it around 8 to 5 every day.

My guess is yes, however it's tough to be definitive without having a Woodpeckers rail to examine. I'd give it a definite yes if the question is "Can the 466354 be modified to fit the Woodpecker rail".

I just got an email from Woodpeckers stating the variable router jig will start shipping much earlier than planned.  Could start shipping as soon as February 1st.  Nice to get a little good news for those of us that ordered one.

Based on some communications from Woodpeckers, I believe they are in the process of increasing production capacity. So, hopefully this will be a trend moving forward.

I got might today and ordered late in order period.  Opened it and it appears to be really nice.  Will not have a chance to try it out until this weekend.

Has anybody else got one and used it yet?  If so, any quick initial impressions?

I finally got around to assembling mine last night (have been building a workshop which is keeping me busy). This unit certainly has some heft to it, that's for sure. It went together quite easily, no issues there. I can't make comparisons to the Festool MFS having never seen one.

I do wonder why Woodpeckers didn't engrave the top of the rail in metric, the bottom in imperial so all you'd need to do to switch from one to the other is turn it over. The design requires it to be taken apart and reassembled which is no huge deal. It's easy enough to do and not a task I'd often be doing.

Unsure when I'll actually get to use this, but it's in my arsenal of Woodpeckers gear.

I finally had time to set mine up, nothing to complicated to put together .
Add a quick cut. I like it.
I’m new to pattern routing ,but can see this jig working well in repeatability and accurate cuts.
