Newest Woodpeck One Time Tool; repeat

Nothing is stopping someone from buying a bunch of the one time tools and makings them available (at a markup) after woodpecker stops making them.  [wink]

We've got a local mob that try that in Oz - it just increases the artificial point demand ... and they're crap to deal with, their markup is also effectively higher that the one off direct shipping [eek]

I went with both the 8" Imperial and 200mm Metric one time T-squares.  Personally, I don't see the utility of the shorter variants.

I also ordered a 36" SERX straight edge which is a regular stock item.  I've been needing something like this to check flatness for a while.

I wish everything they've ever made was always available but I'm not going to cut off my nose to spite my face in moral outrage of their "One TIME Tool" business model.

I can see why the Woodpeckers business model simply works - some people accept their terms and go on to defend them.

I've made my point and haven't made any negative comments about those that choose to support Woodpeckers One Time Tool business model. I'm disappointed that people choose to make a debate personal rather than open their minds, but I'm also not surprised.

So as not just to be wind on the forum - I've sent my thoughts and issues over One Time Tools to Woodpeckers. I'll judge the by how they respond.

I like Woodpecked Saddle square over the T-Squares. The saddle square allows you to make the top and side at the same time.

Unless i'am missing some other advantage to the T-squares?

Greg have you contacted them about the saddle squares?  I called them Last year and was able to get the 8" and 45 degree. They are worth every penny.

Curious what folks have to say about the lengths, 3", 6" & 8". I'm not seeing the point in having the whole set, at best 3" & 8". What am I missing?

    I have the 3" and 6".  The 8" was not available in the first time these were done.  I also have the 12" from the larger size line of these T-squares so I don't think I will end up adding the 8".  Kind of depends on what else you have. EX- 3" , 8", and 24" might work out well?

I didn't recall they did a 24" before, that would make a nice set. Or a 3", 12" & 24". If/when they run the large ones again I could always sell what is close in size and redundant. Seems like these would sell quick used.

The 12",  24" and 32" T-squares are part of their regular line.

I like the Pentel Graphgear 500. The metal weighted end is nice for holding it in the holes.

Thanks for the suggestion, Seth - I really like the look and feel of the GraphGear pencil. And I think I will be MUCH more accurate with my marking using these. Well, that and the fact that I got new glasses last week?

My only complaint is that there isn't a model of GraphGear that comes in Fessy green.
