nieuw (NEW)

The LED ring on a cordless sander is awesome. Thanks for the video

I agree... I setup the STL inspection light when doing a lot of sanding, but that is likely as good or better and is always there.

Will say I'm disappointed that none of the blade packs are for the TS-75. A TS-60 would be lighter and handle 95% of what I do. Too bad the scoring blade wasn't made as a plug-in accessory so you wouldn't have the weight and additional length all the time. It would be epic for veneer

Of note is that it is emphatically mentioned in this video that these are the FIRST new products of this jubilee year.

So there's hope for a cordless trim router and cordless planer?  [laughing]

I don't know...I'm just kind of underwhelmed with the "New" products thus far considering it's a celebration of 100 years of being in business. The ETSC 2 sanders with LED's are nice and I'll pick up the 125 version because my ETS EC 125 is the sander I use the most.

However, the changeover to membrane switches on the 23/36/48 vacs is just repackaging. Same thing goes with the various packs of saw blades. Although, the saw blade packaging itself is very nice and a step up from the current offering. It's also nice that an aluminum blade is now being offered for every saw in the product line.

50-packs of Granat...meh and more time seemed to be spent on talking about the 100th Anniversary swag from the fan shop.  [huh]

To quote Sarah-Jo "100 years - that means we'll be talking about it all year long".  [tongue]

I watched the video. Don’t need another Domino or vac, have plenty of blades so don’t need or want an 3 pack, and I bought the cordless Bosch sander more than a year ago.

What did catch my eye was the cap on top of the Centennial Systainers.

So I went to the Festool fan shop to get a better photo and the only cap there is this garish thing that I wouldn’t wear if they gave it to me.  [tongue]

Dunno if any of them have ever popped open one of their existing saw blade packages.  The things usually come so grease covered, the cardboard is basically reapplying it every time I put the blade back.  That goes on to what ever is being cut.

I winced when they said the new blade sets come in a nice reusable cardboard box for storage.

The interesting thing is the main Festool site shows a PLANEX LHS 2-M. FestoolUsa also shows it, but states it is available starting in March. Even so, I've seen probably 4-5 go by on recon already. They seem to already be available here at [member=76443]Hartville Hardware[/member]

Yes [member=3513]PaulMarcel[/member], the PLANEX is available. It was part of the most recent launch in January.

The new items coming out in March can be found here.

Wish the abrasive packs started at 80 and went to 320, instead of 60-220. I haven't used a 60 grit disk in years. I rarely use 80. If I have to use 80...I've seriously screwed up somewhere along the way.

Also new for 2025 is the MB40 drill stand.
It has a FastFix connection for any of the Festool drills.
And has a depth stop on the side, a side guide, rail guide and some pins to drill LR32 holes.

THIS is something that was soo overdue!

[eek]

EDIT:
Hoping they made it compatible with the LR 32 plate!

It doesn't appear to be compatible with the LR32 plate, rather there is a 5mm and 3mm pin that you can drop in on either side of the drill location to set the distance from the previous hole, and a bracket that allows it to ride along a rail.

The colored rail is cool.  I wonder how long the coating will last.

I agree - the rail is cool. Though I wonder if that might just end up on the wall as a showpiece!
