No Cord Wrap on CT MINI

I like my CT MINI except for the lack of a cord wrap.

I looked at spare parts for the MINI and found there is a cord wrap!  This was for CT MINI model number 201927, which may be a European model.  The parts diagram for my model (201469) does not show this cord wrap.

The cord wrap part number is 203722.  This is the same cord wrap used on the CT 26 and possibly others.  There are holes on the CT MINI back that match the cord wrap holes.  But the CT MINI shape is not the same as the CT 26.  I reshaped the cord wrap with an oscillating spindle sander because the CT MINI back is flatter than the CT 26.  I also used different sized screws than those shipped with the cord wrap.

After I did all the work, I found a youtube video showing how to do all this with a CT MIDI.

Here is one place to buy the cord wrap: https://www.toolnut.com/festool-203722-updated-cord-wrap-for-ct-26-36-48-dust-extractors.html

Pretty sure there are no outboard "hooks" because the cord was designed to be stored in the garage with the hose.    That's what the small notch in your picture is for.  The CTx6's garages aren't deep enough to do this.

Whether this is a better solution than storing outboard is another matter entirely.

The CT26 is easily deep enough to do this. It also has the notch. I could even cram the 35 mm hose entirely in the 26.

On the Mini on the other hand, hose + cord just barely fit together in the garage, you really have to jam it in.

On the midi (2016) it works with the 3,5m 27mm hose and the cord if you're a little sensible about rolling.

Still a good tip, thanks!
