This is exactly why many dedicated furniture shops don't find the Domino Joiner an appeal or a game changer. They have shop-tested jigs to cut all the joints required with a router or use dowels. The Domino Joiner will benefit those, hobbyists or not, who constantly have to address different joinery needs most.

Snip.  But to cut slots in the middle of a wide board, I would have to cut them with my router on a track sled.

I just came across a similar loose tenon jig YESTERDAY on the web:

It's really nothing unusual to rout mortises with a router and a jig, which have long existed before the Domino arrived. She made the following claim about making mortises with her jig, but nothing could be further from the truth:

Of course, if you're a YouTuber looking for subs and clicks, you've got to start with an appealing claim. (And based on her claim, I could only conclude that she has never really used a Domino machine in a project.)

The Porter Cable MorTen jig from about forty years ago.

Trend makes a mortise and tenon jig. It cost about ten times what the PC jig did back in the day.
