Greeting folks,
im a boatbuilder heading over to Denmark to do a boatbuilding job from canada . I'm looking at the rotes 150 sander and the 1400 router and a dust extraction vacuum . trying to figure out if i should purchase them here and just convert the plugs to the euro plugs over there. I'm of the understanding their are on 230 volt and 50 hertz and we are on 120 volt and 60 hertz. will there be unnessacary wear and tear on the tools if i just convert the plugs . i want to use the tools for the majority of their life back here in north america. i could buy over there and then change the armature and field coils when i get back but is this nesacary . I've heard for safety sake that they tune down to 120 from there 230 on job sites for hand power tools but i will out on my own and fending for myself. any suggestions and thoughts much appreciated.
