Not enough room for my domino fence on my project

I am fairly new to the domino world.  I may just simply be overlooking this problem.  I am trying to join a board to my existing door jamb.  The problem is when I put the domino on the jamb, the fence hits the door before the cutter face or bit can touch the jamb.  Even plunged all the way the bit is still an inch or so away.  Is there an easy way to get the same alignment without the fence?

Remove the door?

Assuming you’re trying to add an extension jamb, even if the door is removed the fence might hit the door stop molding. If that’s the case you can add a riser block to the fence to allow it to pass over the molding. The block will sit on the jamb.
