hello there,

excuse my bad English, but the school is far away, and so when I was young for the job I had to travel a lot, now is no longer the case and it quickly loses foreign languages when you do not practical!
So thank you google translate to help me!

I'm Eric, 51, Newbie.

Your forum is very interesting, it will enable me to resume the practice of English!

I am from a small country of France, but I live 40 minutes from Germany (Festool), 45 minutes from Luxembourg, 50 minutes and 2 hours belgium Switzerland.

In 2010, I knew nothing in tools! To cut wood could do with anything, and it was neither done nor do!

Then the decision or continue to do anything, or have the means!

I created my little forum starting in 2011 (I am currently translating a few days ago) and had the desire to also video of someone starting out. Show that we can dare to try, and power without knowledge of carpenter or cabinetmaker to make things happen.

First problem a very small space. For me and my friend (who does fretwork saw with Excalibur) we have about 10/11 m square,
4.3 inch!

So no stationary machine, so have to find solutions and Power is ultimately the only solution.

Thus, on the advice of some forum member French I heard of Festool. Having no significant finances, I could go to other types of low-end machines, but as I Festool team.

Corner videos:
It's as much stuff to help beginners more than me.
It's also stuff (being dyslexic) to help me work better.
This is also when I have a worry (too much or Option Option which are not) find solutions to my problems cutouts of milling, and other problems.

Gradually I advance! Today what I miss is being able to work with a carpenter or cabinetmaker to learn a lot more.
Providing have skills!

My latest acquisition, the LS 130 - Duplex!

Other things I Festool:
Rotex 90, Rotex 150 OF 1400, TS 75, C12, Carvex (PS 400), MFT / 3 CTL26AC, Domino DF 500, DF 700 Domino, MFS 400, 700 MFS, MFS Track, Rail FS of various sizes and accessories for all tools. And 19 systainer ! tools and Options

My Future purchases as possible in order of priority:
OF 2200, CS 70, TI 15, MKS 700 + CMS CMS / OF, EC ETS 150/5 EQ ...

In all happy to come your way and thus be able to learn many things cases.

In the pleasure of future exchanges with you all a good Sunday!

I will finish it perhaps today. And this is for me the beginning of the bi lingual video (French/english) !
All the further video will be Bi lingual !

take care of us

eric

Video editing is continued… not finishing… About 60/70 % finish.

But one question :
I use in my video the Domino and for my project I use the 4 mm cutter…
And during my look on Festool USA I didn't so this 4 mm Cutter.

In France we find :
"DOMINO 4x20, 5x30, 6x40, 8x40, 8x50, 10x50 mm et fraise DOMINO pour tailles 4, 5, 6, 8 et 10"
Here

thank

Shoot! I read this earlier and was going to respond, but never got back to it.

[crying]

Well, for people who read this in the future, let me also point out that the 4mm cutter comes in the Domino DF 500 Tenon Assortment - 498899 - along with four other cutters. From the Festool USA website:

The Domino DF 500 Tenon Assortment includes 5 Cutters, Domino Assortment Systainer, and 1060 tenons.
• Tenon assortment: 4 x 20mm (450), 5 x 30mm (225); 6 x 40mm (150); 8 x 40mm (100); 8 x 50mm (75); 10 x 50mm (60).
• Cutter assortment: D4mm (1), D5mm (1); D6mm (1); D8mm (1); D10mm (1).

Hope that helps!

Welcome to the FOG.  Great to have you here Eric.  I have watched a lot of your videos on youtube and they are great.  The video that was posted here on the FOG about you making an extension for your mft is the one I'm interested in.  In that video you are drilling 20mm holes in the extension using a router and a regular guide rail.  You are spacing the hole with a little gizmo that you stick in the holes in the mft to drill the next hole in the extension.  I'm interested in the little gizmo and how you use it with the guide rail and router.  Hope you can translate all this.  Any help would be great.

Keep up the good work, looking forward to more of your videos.

Rusty

No problem Rusty, when I will go to my Workshop, I will take you things for giving you help !

I will give news later
